About Contex:

Contex with its headquarters in Denmark, was originally founded in 1923 and manufactured printing machines, mechanical and electronic calculators, and electrostatic copiers. These machines were distributed and sold worldwide under the Rex-Rotary and Gestetner brand names.

In the early 1980's the foundation was laid for the establishment of Contex Scanning Technology. In 1988 Contex introduced its first B/W (monochrome) large-format scanner and presented a complete line of B/W scanners in 1990. The first wide-format color scanners were introduced in 1996.

Today, Contex, is the worldwide leading manufacturer of large format color and monochrome scanners, and an expert developer of advanced scanning and copying software for these products. Scanner models are available in 18", 25", 36", 42" and 54" widths.
